Batik
This popular Indonesian dyeing technique is widely used in India, amongst other countries across the globe. The process includes washing the soaked cloth and beating it with a large mallet. Following this, patterns are hand-drawn and later redrawn using dye-resistant hot wax. The cloth is dyed in the desired colour and once dry, the leftover wax is scraped off to reveal a unique pattern.
